In a recent study conducted by financial services firm Remitly, People from 60 countries, including the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom chose Dubai as the country they would most love to move to and live.
The emirate was also recognised as the Number One Global Destination in the 2024 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards for a third successive year, further illustrating its tremendous draw for tourists and expats alike.
Dubai Property Post reported that Remitly’s comprehensive 12-month analysis of Google search data, focusing on “move to city” phrases across 164 countries, consistently positions Dubai as the most coveted destination for individuals exploring international relocation.
Renowned for its ultramodern architecture, vibrant nightlife, year-round sunshine, and abundant employment opportunities, Dubai has earned global acclaim as an exceptionally desirable place to call home.
The city experienced a substantial population increase of nearly 100,000 between 2022 and 2023.
Dubai’s appeal extends beyond its physical attributes. With a diverse community and an environment conducive to forming connections with individuals from around the globe, Dubai emerges as an ideal relocation destination for those seeking a fresh start in a new city.
Despite the inherent challenges of moving, the city’s reputation for providing supportive services, expat-friendly laws, and tax-free salaries has significantly contributed to its allure.
The research indicates a keen interest in relocating to Dubai from residents in 37 out of 50 US states and seven out of 10 Canadian provinces. Miami secures the second position, with Paris ranking third.

The UAE has also previously been recognised as an exceptionally secure location to reside, with Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Dubai repeatedly listed in the top five safest places to live in the wold, and the cities of Ajman and Sharjah also featuring.
